DIY Holiday Notebook
Welcome back to the May Arts blog and a fun week with the talented team from Lawn Fawn!
Holiday time is a busy time around our house. That means Santa isn’t the only one making lists. I love to take little notebooks like this:
and alter them to make the list making more enjoyable. These also make great little gift and stocking stuffers.
I used the pretty papers from Lawn Fawn’s Fa-La-La line, the adorable stamps from Sweet Christmas
and, of course, some pretty May Arts Ribbons to make my little notepad come alive.
Just remove the wire from the notepad and embellish away. I covered the front, back and inside covers with Lawn Fawn’s fun Fa-La-La papers and Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive.
Now for the fun! I stamped and cut out and colored images from Sweet Christmas, then used chunky glitter to make them sparkle and shine. While the glitter and glue were setting, I embellished the notepad with fun Mini Pom Poms (419-14) and Solid/Check (KB-14). A few buttons were tied were tied with Burlap String (SM14).
I stamped around the edges in black ink, and then attached my images with Scor-Tape, double sided tape and foam squares by Helmar.
After reassembling my notepad, I camouflaged the wires with sweet little bows made with Sheer Dots (JD01)
I bet I have more fun list making than Santa, thanks to Lawn Fawn and May Arts Ribbon!
