Make Your Own iPod Sleeves
Welcome to another fun swap with a great partner in craft, Tombow! I’ve got a project to share today using the new Fastener Tabs!
I’ve made IPod sleeves! With a little felt & beautiful ribbon these are a snap! I used Spellbinders Dies (largest of the long classic rectangles) to cut my felt.
I cut one piece of felt the length of the IPod with pinking shears. I laid the pieces end to end, and then pinned a length of ¾” twill stripe down the center. I kept the ribbon even with the felt on the shorter side, and left plenty of extra room on the longer side.
And then I simply machine stitched it together! I applied the Tombow Fastener Tab to the shorter side.
After removing the backing, I folded the longer side down. Once it was secure I carefully used my ribbon tab to re-open.
It was so fun, I made another version! This time I layered 1/8” ombre purple solid on top of 1.5” satin pleats.
I love how fun these turned out! They are a great way to give a personalized gift! Imagine the possibilities! 🙂
Thank you to Tombow for such an inspiring product to work with! And thank you for your time! I hope you’ve been inspired!
