Alter it! Lampshade Dress Up with Ribbon
Ribbon is not just for cards….there are many opportunities to spruce up all different kinds of items with ribbon. As I walked through my house to do just that, I found this old tired lamp that looked quite plain. With the help of some luscious May Arts Ribbon, it now fits perfectly in my home decor and is definitely not plain any longer. And it only took a few easy steps!
Here is the finished project:
Here’s another way to dress up those lampshades with ribbon. I found these awesome wire lamps at a local antique shop and knew immediately what I wanted to do with them. I wanted to add some canvas ribbon up each of the wire columns. I cut strips of the printed canvas ribbon and started from the bottom and hand tied, double knotted each one working my way up.
It took several hours but so worth the end result.
