How To: An Owl Concertina Card
Inspiration comes from so many sources…but for today’s card, I was inspired by the stamps in my collection. I wanted to create a beautiful card with this owl, but I wanted it to be soft , like a moonlit garden, rather than spooky. Adding in soft ribbons for texture and definition added the finishing touches that I needed.
For this concertina card, I repeated the elements identical for each panel. This helped the design flow with a nice rhythm. I die cut a circle, and stamped it with a bubble background to create a moon, for the backdrop for the image.
For the shallow folds of the card, I used layered ribbons to help define the panels, and to tie in the colors of the card.
