DIY Autumn Leaf Wall Hanging / Coaster Combo
Good day to you! This is Court from Court’s Crafts here to show you a recent home decor project that I cannot wait to use for our next house party!
I found a pattern online (link below) and it was advertised as simple maple leaf coasters. I had to jazz it up with May Arts and change the idea to make it more “me”. What I ended up creating was an autumn wall hanging… but… I thought it would be kind of cool to keep the coaster idea. So, I sewed velcro onto the backs of the leaves so that the coasters were removable for a party, but were easy to put back onto the wall hanging for when we didn’t need them. Kind of cool, right?
I sewed the crimson ribbon right onto the burlap and tied off the mid sections with a bit of burlap string. The suede leaves are amazing. I had such a good time tucking them behind the maple leaves and the gold ones are so gorgeous! They are glittery in texture (not suede like the others) but when the sun hits them – wow!
Sorry the glass is empty but I took the picture at 11 in the morning and it’s a little early to be 5 o’clock somewhere. 😉
I hope this inspires you to grab some May Arts Ribbon and make something for your own home!
