DIY Burlap Sachet Bag
Rustic themed parties and weddings seem to be everywhere these days; with that in mind, I made up a quick burlap bag that can be used to enclose a gift in, add spices to for a sachet or as a cute accent piece!
Begin with a 14″ length of a 4″ wide burlap ribbon and fold in half. Next, fold both ends down about 1″.
Sew the ends down or use a fabric glue.
Next, sew the two sides together to create the bag. I found that a zig-zag stitch worked best with the burlap.
Thread a generous length of ribbon through the top holes so that you’re creating a draw-string style bag. Depending on the look you’re wanting, you may tie the ends together at one end, or use two lengths of ribbon and tie a bow at both sides.
Embellish the front with die-cut felt flowers and a heart in your theme colors. Accent the flowers with a snip or two or green ribbon to act as their leaves.
These would also make adorable place setting markers at an engagement or graduation party…the ideas are limitless!
