Make Your Own Cards – Animal Chic
I’ve got some cards to share that feature the velvet animal print ribbon that May Arts offers! There are so many great coordinating ribbons; the hardest part is deciding which to pair!
First up is my fave!
Leopard print (429-58-70) & Silky Crush in Rust (UK 36) – oh my! The dark cardstock really sets it off!
One option is to pin the ribbons together & sew them on at one time. This time I used the zebra print (429-58-39) & 1.5” black satin pleats (379-15-10).
Or you could create your own ruffle as I’ve done here:
Using the brown 1.5” solid wrinkle (EA33) I machine stitched and then gathered the ribbon. This could also be done with adhesive. I used a bit of adhesive to attach the brown solid wrinkle, and then machine stitched the jaguar print (429-58-90) in place.
And I couldn’t leave out the giraffe print (429-58-13)! I’ve folded some 3” gold mesh (g99) and sewn the giraffe print right on top!
Thanks for your time today! I hope you’ve been inspired!
