Homemade Gifts: “Celebrate Every Mile” Medal Rack
What do you get for a man that has everything? Well, I looked to his hobbies this year. I had noticed just how proud he was when talking about his marathons he had recently been completing. He lit up when showing the different medals, but more so about the race bibs he has collected.
I decided to create something for him to showcase these things that he was so proud of. So I did a little research online, on the different ways I could help him display them. Here is what I came up with.
Project Recipe:
After painting my piece of pine board, I then started wrapping the edge of the board with Burlap Twine, attaching it with my glue gun. Then I added the single string of the Gold Chain Cord Ribbon in the middle of the twine.
I hand wrote “Celebrate Every Mile” with metallic Sharpie markers and attached the black metal hooks.
I cut 2 pieces of the Natural Cotton/Burlap Ribbon and stapled them to the wood, using my staple gun. Then I tied the metal clips to the board. Trim the ribbon to clean up the edges and you are done.
Your project is ready to display these milestones.
