For today we have
Hello fellow ribbon lovers! Emily here with some creative and fun ways to use the new tulle from May Arts!
I LOVE tulle. I love the feel of it, the weight, the look, just everything about it. You can do so much with it! For m projects today, I wanted to create a fun dress-up ensemble for my daughter. Since dress up outfits and accessories can be expensive, why not make your own?
First, I thought I would try my hand at a tutu. These are so popular right now. I see people selling them everywhere, but they are a bit pricey. I simply took a piece of ribbon and looped tulle around in multiple colors. So quick and easy, anyone can do it!
Next, I tried a matching ribbon/tulle wand, because every princess needs a wand! Yet another simple DIY project! The wand itself is just a 3/4” dowel rod wrapped in ribbon.
Lastly, I thought I would finish the outfit off with a hair bow. I made the bow with ribbon and added tulle on the bottom layer for a little flair.
Thanks for joining us today! I hope I have inspired you to grab some tulle and get crafty!
The 488 series is truly a ribbon for every season and occasion. It’s a beautiful, iridescent 1.5″ wired ribbon with metallic accents. The fresh greens of 488-15-15 were perfect to create a rosette and adorn a hat for spring.
Ruffles are so easy with wired ribbon – so the summertime card was a breeze to make using the 488-15-22 fuchsia and orange combo.
Fall is right around the corner, and the browns and whites in the 488-15-01 ribbon, were perfect to spruce up a wreath.
Finally, I love “antique” Christmas colors, and although the 488-15-28 ribbon is described as rust/green/brown – it matches perfectly with vintage papers, and allowed me to re-vamp a holiday tin that wasn’t my style.
It is always so fun to see the new ribbons! My mind starts spinning thinking of ideas of how to use all of them! (I know how lucky I am to get to try all those ribbon ideas!!)
My new release ribbon to show you is the new 1″ adhesive flag banner ribbon– so many fun possibilities!
Drape them simply across a card- the adhesive backing makes this a super quick project!
Stamp on them with Staz-On ink
Wrap them around a toothpick for a fun accent for desserts or hors d’Oeuvres
Make a banner for your dessert (a great excuse to make a dessert!!)
Design a fun t-shirt
I hope this gives you some fun inspiration to try the new 1″ adhesive flag banner ribbon! I’ve got a few more details on my blog (like the link to the recipe for that salted caramel chocolate cake!!) 🙂
Remember, all you have to do to enter to win 1 of 3 prizes up for grabs is to keep those comments coming. You can go to Monday’s Post for full details!
