This idea is very inexpensive and perfect for a teacher, co-worker or as a stocking stuffer this Christmas!  Insert pre-cut journal cards into the sleeves inside of the album and you have your own December Daily style mini album.

I’ve taken a small 4 X 6 photo album from a dollar store.  The cover has an opening for a small photo, to which I added a couple of pieces of diagonal striped ribbon tied up in a bow.  I removed the paper insert and used it as a guide for measuring the ribbon.  Where the two pieces of 1.5″ ribbon met, I added a strand of polka dot ribbon to mimic a tied package. 

Before inserting the paper of ribbon back into the slot, I trimmed out the edge of the album frame with white pom pom trim.  I added a polka dot bow to the top with fabric glue and tied on a cute tag.  All ready for gift giving!
