DIY Holiday Napkin Rings / Place Cards
I love using cloth napkins. I know…they have to be washed and ironed but I think they can make any occasion a celebration.
Entertaining season is right around the corner so I’ve created 3 super quick and easy napkin ring holder/place card combinations to take you from Thanksgiving to New Year’s Eve with minimal time and effort.
Each one uses pre-made tags that I punched with round or oval paper punches.
This one uses Faux Wired Burlap ribbon. Simply tie in a loose knot, add your tag and glue on some glittered fall leaves for a casually elegant table setting.
Even if your style is super casual, you can dress it up with some cotton napkins with a fall motif and Vintage Printed Cotton Blend Ribbon. I just punched an elongated oval shape and slipped the ribbon through the oval holes…a great way to use up your ribbon scraps! A few paper leaves finish the casual fall look. I keep a few extra on hand for last minute guests.
For a more formal table, I used 1.5″ Gold Metallic Ribbon and Gold Leaves . I think silver would be gorgeous as well. To create the texture on the leaves, just cut them apart and pull the center string until you get the desired look. A bit of glue and a stick on pearl finished the elegant look.
Thanks for joining us the May Arts Ribbon Blog. We hope you’ve been inspired to “dress” your table. Who knows, even the kids may be inspired to sit up a bit straighter when your table is well dressed. 😉
