Craft Idea: Mason Jar Mini Album
Hello! Mary here today to share a sweet shaped mini book that’s rockin’ a shabby chic style and lots of May Arts Ribbon!
I’m a big fan of a Mason jar. I think they have a million uses and are the cutest! Perfect for storage and awesome for gift giving or home decor—and an amazing shape to recreate in paper!
For this book, I wanted to capture the look of a sewing kit. You know, those sweet little jars with pin cushions on the top that are filled to the brim with any number of sewing supplies?
My ‘jar’ has serious dimension on the front. I’ve created the ‘pin cushion’ with a length of the 2.5″ Plain Cotton Blend, and trimmed it out with a bit of the 1/8″ Natural Burlap Cord. A touch of lace and some silk ribbon finished off the look.
I kept the back flat for a more functional book.
If you’d like to see how this book came together, check out the video below!
Now, all that’s left to do is fill it up with photos. I’m thinking an heirloom style book of my family’s baby photos, but it would be perfect for just about anything—from a new baby, to a Mother’s Day gift or even engagement photos!
Thanks so much for joining me today. I hope you’ve found a little inspiration. Now, go grab your favorite May Arts ribbon, lace or trims and make a little something!!
