I decided to start my preparation for Christmas early. I have a really easy and fast project that even the kids can take part in today using some washi tape, old book pages, May Arts ribbon, and glitter. Click here to see more!
I made this as a hostess gift. It’s a flower vase made out of a milk bottle. I actually picked this up at a craft store in Sweden and brought it back. The pearl pens were so fun to use! They certainly jazzed up the ribbon and made it look more festive. They are super easy to use. I wasn’t sure if they would be hard to squeeze out, but they were smooth like butter! Love.
I used May Arts Eyelet Lace layered and trimmed into the shape of a tree as the focal point for my Christmas card. Clear Pearl Pen from Splash of Color makes perfect snowdrifts on the "branches" of my tree and creates the perfect finishing touch. Click here to see more!
I created this little rosette birthday bow for my project today. My daughters 6th birthday is in less than a week and I've been frantically trying to create some unique party decor. She will be able to wear this at her party and it matches the rest of the decor. The ribbons are perfect for this project and the pearl pins add that extra flair! Click here to see more!
I absolutely love using the Pearl pens for the centers of my flowers. It makes is nice and easy, plus with all of the colors available you could have lots of "pearl" center options 🙂 Click here to see more!
Today I'm happy to be sharing my first splash of color project as a May Arts Ribbonista. I wanted to try a card with lots of layers for the holidays. I started with a white card base then I layered two strips of krafts cardstock along the side and sewn them on. I layered the flowers on top of the sentiments banner that was also raise with 3-D squares. Click here to see more!
Now start leaving plenty of comments, so you can start playing with ribbon and pearl pens too!
