All things nautical are so hot right now and May Arts ribbon has amazing fibers to complement all your sea fairing projects. Since graduation season will be here soon, I thought it would be fun to share a graduation project that’s not so in your face. Here is a graduation card and gift boat (to put your gift in) using this month’s Craft Challenge fibers.
I thought having this little boat to give your gift in was a great way of sticking to the nautical theme. Here’s a quick and easy tutorial so you can make this paper boat too.
Step 1: Using a 10″x6″ piece of paper, score 2” from each side on the two ends and 1.5“ in on the sides.
Step 2: Make a slip on each corner from the tip inward to where the score lines meet.
Step 3: Next fold up on the score lines and adhere where the paper meets up. See photo.
Step 4: Let dry, snip the extra piece on the top and embellish. Now you got a stylish nautical gift boat.
