DIY New Years Eve Wine Label
Let’s ring in the New Year with style; hello it’s Erin, from Homemade Cards by Erin, with a quick and easy project for you to bring to a New Year’s Eve bash.
To make this wine label, start by die cutting out the numbers. I used glitter foam, which is great because it’s got the glitter already on it, plus it’s a bit thicker then paper, so it really stands out. Once you’ve die cut out your numbers, use another sheet of glitter foam and cut out the wine label tag.
Next up cut a piece of silver card stock, usually I cut my wine labels 3″ x 8″, but each one varies a bit. Once you’ve got the card stock cut, spritz it with Tattered Angels Black Mist and let dry. While the card stock is drying die cut out a vellum tag for your top layer. To create the rest of the wine label base, use a 1 3/4“ circle punch at the top and cut out the hole. Use a corner rounder punch on the top corners and the PTI Edgers die on the bottom.
Next up cut off the very bottom of the tag and add a strip of vellum to the back. Add a 3″ strip of the metallic velvet ribbon and add on top of the vellum. Cut a 3″ strip of the 1/4″ black silk and add to vellum tag. Adhere the vellum tag to the glitter foam with 3M vellum tape.
Add 4″ of the Satin Pleats to the left hand side of the glitter foam label and top with a ribbon tab of metallic velvet. Adhere glitter foam numbers to the top and cheers. Then take scraps of glitter foam and mini My Favorite Things wine tag label and alphabet die and make individual wine glass tag.
