Fall DIY: Pumpkin Decorating With Ribbon
Hi Everyone! DeeDee here today with a Home Décor makeover perfect for the Halloween Season!
First of all.. my “Mantle” is actually the craft cupboard located in my living room, just so you know ^_^. And, it use to look like this:
But now.. with a little upcycling, some rearranging and the use of beautimous May Arts Ribbons it looks like this:
Perfect for Halloween!! I created a really superb banner to help pull a lot of my vintage goods together. It consists of Eyelet Lace and Grosgrain stripes. The 1.5 inch grosgrain was cut between 2 and 3 inches long (I left it random and just went quick; snip snip snip) and then cut into a banner shape. The eyelet lace is cut every 3 notches, fits over the width of the grosgrain PERFECT! Then they’ve been sewn together in a long strand to form a bunting style stringed piece.
For the tutorial portion of today’s post I share with you this pumpkin, which is a total show stealer in all its ribbony goodness:
And you can see a video on it here:
And there you have it! Thanks for stopping by.
