DIY Teacher Gift Book {and a free download!}
Here’s an idea that would be great for an end of year gift for teachers or grandparents!
I used chipboard (aka cereal box) & covered it with patterned paper from the ‘My Sunshine’ stack by DCWV to form the front & back of the book. I attached the paper with Mod Podge.
I secured the kids pages between the covers & tied it up with 5/8” twill ribbon in teal & added red burlap string to each knot.
I embellished the front with stickers from the BasicGrey kit ‘kneehighs’, more paper from the DCWV stack and 5/8” twill ribbon in red and teal.
We printed sheets on standard paper that said “My favorite thing I learned from my teacher is…”- there were 2 per sheet so we cut them in half & sent 2 home per kid (in case they wanted to start over!). This is my daughter’s page- hard to read the top- but she learned the phrase ‘awesome sauce’- and we use it all the time! (She also drew several elements from their classroom :-))
I’ve attached the sheet we used HERE if you’d like to use it!)
I lined the inside of the cover pages too, and this was the last page. Great ending I thought!
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you’ve been inspired!
