How To: Thrifty Gifting under $5
Welcome back to the May Arts blog! I don’t know about you, but it seems there are always times when I need a small gift…just a “little something” that I can whip together in a few minutes for an unexpected birthday, get well, or welcome to the neighborhood” occasion but also one that doesn’t break the budget.
I feel in love with these little “flower top boxes” the moment I saw them. I knew May Arts Ribbon could transform these little boxes into beautiful gifts or table favors in no time.
First up is a little get well gift.
May Arts ½” Solid Check ABB22 is an ideal choice for men or women. I filled the container with Dark Chocolate Raspberry M & M’s, (YUM!) then inserted a small glass test tube in the center. Just tie with a double looped bow, add a matching tag tied on with May Arts Ivory Burlap String SM09, then place a flower into the test tube. This is the perfect gift for someone in the hospital where space is limited.
It’s easy to be prepared for an unexpected birthday with May Arts beautiful sheer ribbons and fun pom poms.
Isn’t this fun? I found Jelly Belly seconds called “Belly flops” at a local close out store. I love the bright colors and uneven shapes. I chose the happy May Arts 1/5” Sheer Floral Wired Ribbon for my bow, then added May Arts Wired Fuzzy Pom Poms for a fun accent. I stamped the happy birthday sentiment with a stamp from Lawn Fawn’s Year One Mini set then tied the tag on with May Arts Ivory Burlap Twine.
Last up is a version that would make a sweet gift for a new little baby or table favors for a baby shower.
Simply fill the little boxes with blue M & M’s, make a sweet little tag, then tie off with May Arts ¾” Chevron Striped Twill.
Now, you can be prepared for any last minute gift giving occasion; thanks to May Arts Ribbons!
