DIY Year Round Country Wreath
Some think wreaths are only for the holiday season. I like to think of wreaths as a pretty accessory for your house. Something that can beautify your home all year around. Today I share with you a cute country wreath totally adorned in May Arts Ribbon.
The base of this wreath is wrapped in burlap and eyelet and super easy to make. Just sew the two ribbons together on the inside of the wired burlap. Once stitched together, it can be easily wrapped around a pre-made wreath form. Secure the ends to the wreath with glue.
For the bow on this wreath I wanted to add May Arts denim ribbon in a creative way. First to prep or I folded the ribbon in half and stitched down the middle. Then I wrapped a wooden dowel in plastic wrap. To giving the ribbon the curly look, you slather it with fabric stiffener and wrap it around the dowel. Use clothes pin to hold the ends down till it dries. Once dry (I waited 24 hours) slide the ribbon curl off the stick. It will hold the curls if left to completely dry and stiffen on the stick.
I added that curly denim ribbon to a big beautiful gingham bow and that’s it!
A nice country wreath to dress up your home.
