DIY: Design Inspiration – Banner of Awesomeness
The world between scrapbooking and card making is one big beautiful blur. I personally find myself sitting in this blurred space with inspiration galore pulling me in both directions. So instead of choosing one direction and tossing another, I decided to do both. One inspiration idea to make both a scrapbook page and a card design.
The main inspiration is a banner filled with awesomeness.
I started with this layout for my son’s 2nd birthday. Then I started stringing random pieces of wood and chipboard onto some May Arts Ribbon’s twine. These are all things that relate to my photo and my cute little boy in the picture. To add to the free flowing feel of the page I adhered the twine so that it was loose and loopy.
I took the same loose loopy banner full of awesomeness concept and a lot of the same products to create the card. I think it looks equally awesome.
This is a fun idea and so easily translated to both a scrapbook layout and a card.
