DIY: A Scrapping Storage Box

Hi everyone welcome to the May Arts and Our Craft Lounge blog hop.  For my project I created a nifty box that can be used to store memorabilia.  Whenever you find something you want to keep for a certain project just slide it in the hole at the top of the box and when you are ready to do the project just open it up and pull everything you have stored out.  You will be surprised at how many things you will have by the time you are ready to CREATE – then JUST SCRAP!

I made the bird below using Our Crafts Lounge Sparkly Fluff 24k Gold I made the wings with May Art trim “satin cutouts” and metallic gold mesh.

I also added the metallic trim to the front of the boxing using glossy accents.  I think it added and extra flair.  I also added I double bow to the front and adorned it with an owl accent

For the stamp I used Our Craft Lounge’s “Say it Big” stamp set.  I applied Tombow glue directly to the stamp and then added to Sparkly Fluff!

I also added the metallic mesh trim to front of the box to give it an extra flair.

I hope you enjoyed my project – I definitely enjoyed making it.

Monica, what a clever idea! And the box is so great looking it would be so easy to have right at hand to put all the little things for the next project or two. Thanks for sharing your wonderful idea.

Gorgeous box, what a fun gift for a teenager or college student then take it back at the end of the year and scrapbook the insides.  I love the owl pendent.

Awesome project and what a great idea to use the Tombow glue directly on the stamp, going to give that a try!
