Homemade Gift Ideas: Distressed Frame

I had just received some awesome chipboard product from Words or Whatever and Flourish with a Bling in Australia and when I got the beautiful Authentique papers I knew just what to do.  I made this fun wall hanging for my house that has distressed tags with fun vintage images on them.  I used a large chipboard frame, traced it down on the Authentique paper and then hand cut so that it would show through the back of the frame.  I then added May Arts (BT96 and EA06) ribbon around the frame on the lower left  and a strip of 398-25-33 along the bottom to make a pocket before adhering it down on the paper.  I also strung Jute 363-10 on the tags.
I then added a chipboard banner from Words or Whatever , pearls from Flourish with a Bling, wood heart buttons from Blumenthal Lansing Buttons using SM-08 for the centers.  I colored all the chipboard and wood hearts with Distress Stain (fired brick, wild honey)

I really like this wall hanging. The burlap makes a nice pouchy thing to hold the tags. And the chipboard pieces are just gorgeous.

Ohhh, I love vintage!  The tags are adorable and the frame is just perfect for your project.   Love the wide May Arts Burlap ribbon that you used for the pocket – very clever!

I love this!! Just so creative and great looking. That frame and of course the May Arts ribbon puts the finishing touches on it.

I like the tags–very chic. And the chipboard looks like it's very thick/good quality. What a great decorator item you made.
