Fun DIY: Elastic Bookmark with Ribbon
I am always trying to come up with creative ideas to incorporate my large stash of ribbon into projects that I can use in my daily life. I often take to Pinterest, let’s face it, that is one of the best resources for all things crafty!
When browsing the pages of Pinterest, I found some DIY bookmarks and decided to try my hand at one using lovely May Arts Ribbon! My daughter started reading chapter books this year, so I figured that by making her some fun bookmarks, it may help to make reading a little more fun for her.
These bookmarks are SO easy to make! Simply cut a piece of ribbon (about ½ a yard) and fold one end over a ponytail holder. Stitch the folded over part to ensure that it holds. On the other end, add a decorative button. That’s it! You have a fabulous bookmark! I added a little bow just to give it a more girly touch.
