DIY Sewing Project: Kindle Case
Hi there May Arts fans this is Jenifer here with you to share another Kindle cover that I made. This will be the last one I promise 🙂 I just can’t help myself; they are just quick, fun projects to make. I received this super cute fabric from Camelot fabrics and I knew that another Kindle cover was in the works.
With the wide variety of May Arts ribbons available I set to work finding the perfect combo for my project. I decided to go with the eyelet and the stitched grosgrain and a cut out and appliquéd the bird from the fabric.
Did you know that May Arts also carries several varieties of elastic? I have used 2 in my project. The elastic that is holding my kindle in place is my favorite, it comes in many colors and it can be used for a variety of projects including quick and easy hair bands. To hold everything together I used the elastic string, this string keeps everything nice and snug.
I used the eyelet, stitched ribbon and the jumbo ric rac to the top of the pocket.
Here is a close up of the inside pocket.
