End of Summer Thank You Card
Hey, Virginia here, Did you have a lovely summer? I certainly did. Did you visit friends at the beach, the lake house or even poolside and maybe you haven’t got around to saying thank you to your host? Now is your chance before the leaves change! This week I got to play with the ‘Life’s a Beach’ set from PSA Essentials, and some May Arts ribbons with a summer feel.
To create the burlap strip behind the flower I cut the desired length and then pulled a few stands from the center, which I used to tie around the velvet. Then I stretched it width wise and used the Tombow Power Bond Runner to adhere it to the card.
For the flags on both cards I cut a 90-degree angle from the bottom of each strip of ribbon, then using a lighter I singed the edges (barely touching the ribbon to the flame) to insure it would not fray. To make this burlap trim I cut the desired length and pulled about 8 strands from the burlap strip. Take one individual strand and wrap around the remaining ones, tie the two loose ends together. I also used Tombow Power Bond Runner to adhere it to the card.
