In my personal opinion, May Arts elastic string has got to be the most useful ribbon in the whole store. I love that they come in 5 awesome colors including gold and silver. And can be used in many practical ways from household to fashion. Here are just some examples of why you MUST have a spool or two in your stash.
Crochet it to make a cute headband.
Add beads for quick bracelets.
Add them to a button and knot for a cute way to keep things together.
Make your own napkin holder by adding a fastening and wrapping it around to close. Click here for more details!
Today I’m excited to share with you two ways to use this fun metallic bow ribbon. It’s wired, but you can play with it in a couple of ways to get different looks.
My first project is a card. I created a small wreath for the card front and I”m sharing in the video how I made the background and the wreath. You’ll just love how easy it was. My second project is a fun crown.
I love the idea of floral crowns and my daughter loves to dress up. I made this super easy Fall crown for her. She was excited to see it. I chose the three remaining colors to make this. It is also shown in the video. Enjoy watching and don’t forget to let us know what you think of the new releases. There is so much awesome stuff here.
The first thing that came to my mind when I received my vintage inspired cotton ribbon was altered bottles. I happen to collect vintage bottles and jars so I was “way” excited to alter one of them and recycle a pickle jar. Click here for more details on these projects!

OMIGOSH! elastic string? i had no idea that such wonderful stuff even existed! thank you! the bracelets are so cute and i know quite a few wrists they could decorate. again….am so in love with that printed cotton ribbon. the distressed jars were genius.

LOVE the new releases and REALLY LOVE the CLEVER & CREATIVE ways the Ribbonistas are using them!!! I’ve got to hop on over to visit their blogs now but before I leave, I just HAD to say how much I enjoyed Latrice’s video and very COOL use of the metallic bows to make the wreath on her card – WOW!!!
