DIY Hostess Card With Twisted Burlap Wreath
I love to take poinsettias to Christmas parties…and I came across this fabulous stamp from Sparkle Creations with Charlotte delivering her own poinsettia – and I knew I had to use her for a hostess card! The fabulous papers from Little Yellow Bicycle’s “Once Upon a Christmas” line were the perfect ones to match with the idea.
I built a “scene” from the papers, with a home, door, wreath, and snowy extieror. This is an oversized card, 6×6, and thick enough not to want to mail it, but – as a hand-delivered card, we can treat ourselves to making something out of the ordinary! I counted up the pieces on this card and shocked myself – 46 pieces of paper!
I forgot to mention in the video that I adhered the wreath using Scor-Tape – that stuff sticks the ribbon fabulously well! I put it on the back of the wreath and then adhered it to the door.
I hope you enjoyed my crazy over-the-top card! The wreath would work just great on a card or project not requiring quite that level of detail, too J
