Jen Shears – Prima Ribbonista

jen, cosmo & lillies

My name is Jen Shears and I’m so happy to be returning as a Prima Ribbonista on the May Arts blog team!!! Working on the May Arts blog has been an amazing experience; I love having the opportunity to play with all the gorgeous ribbon May Arts carries!

I’ve been ‘crafty’ as long as I can remember- card making, scrapbooking, sewing- a little bit of everything.

I’m married to a wonderfully supportive man, Cory, who encourages me in my creative outlets. I have a 9 year old daughter, Hadley, who enjoys creating right alongside me!

I am mainly a stay-at-home-mom; although I do work one day/week as a dental hygienist and spend LOTS of time at my daughter’s school!  Besides crafting I enjoy gardening, photography, boating and skiing- anything resembling play!

It is always so fun to look through the last year’s ribbon projects- it’s hard to pick favorites, but it is easy to see that my favorite projects always have ribbon!!

Visit Jen on her blog.

Some of Jen’s favorite projects are shown below:

Candy Corn Pillow

Burlap Carrots

Handmade Holiday Table Runner

Ribbon Rose Bouquet

Great to hear that you will be on the team for another year. I loved your ribbon rose bouquet. It inspired me to make one for my niece to carry on the night of her wedding rehearsal, since she was carrying real flowers for the wedding. Also, she could keep it as a treasure instead of throwing it away , Of course the colors and quality of May Arts ribbon made it so easy to be beautiful. Thanks for the inspiration
