Layout – With This Ring {winner and a giveaway}
I decided to pull out an old photo do to a layout for this fun collaboration with Creative Imaginations! The rich papers worked so well with some of the GORGEOUS ribbon choices from May Arts!
Supplies:
- May Arts 1/4” silk in Cranberry
- May Arts 1.5” Silky Crush in Purple
- May Arts Elastic/Sequin Trim in Copper
- May Arts Sheer Frayed Flowers Wired in Cream
- May Arts Baker’s Twine Yellow/White
- Creative Imaginations Christine Adolph Marakesh Papers
- Creative Imaginations Christine Adolph Marakesh Stickers
- Creative Imaginations Christine Adolph Marakesh Die Cuts
- Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist – Cranberry Zing
- Stampendous! Foliate Quad Cube Stamp
- Studio Calico Letter Stickers
- Rhinestone Brads
- Kraft cardstock
- CTMH ink – Cranberry
- White Pen
To begin this layout I chose my papers, cut them into various sized strips, and began laying them out how I thought I would want them.
Once I had an arrangement I liked, I went ahead and adhered the strips to one another and set the block aside. I then decided to add some mist to my background. I used a rag to smear the ink a bit on the background. After it was dry, I adhered the block of strips over the background.
The next step was to pull out LOTS of ribbon and start making decisions! I chose a few that I felt worked well with the photo and the papers and adhered them to my background. I used my Tiny Attacher to attach the silk ribbon so it could remain fluid and loose.
I added my photo and a couple of die cuts to accent it. The photo is popped up with foam tape so it fits nicely over the layers of ribbon.
Next came the title. I added the letter stickers and decided they needed just a little something to make them pop. I stitched the twine over them by hand (I did remove a few strands from the twine to make the stitching easier) and then highlighted the letters with a white pen.
Finally, a few sequins fell off the elastic strip as I worked and I like that, so I glued them where they landed and then added a few more. I used stickers and die cuts to embellish around the layout, stamped a few leafy blocks, and popped in some gemstone brads to finish it all off!
I love how the ribbon and the Christine Adolph collection work SO well together! Thanks for stopping by!
