DIY Party Favors: Lip Balm Butterflies – Party Favors
Hi everyone! It’s Karen from ScrappyCanuck Studios, and today I am ignoring my current winter blahs to share a spring and heart inspired craft. Perfect for tea or birthday parties, baby showers or even weddings, these lip balm butterflies are sure to have everyone swooning.
It is no secret that my all time favorite May Arts Ribbon is the ¾” Twill Chevron Stripe. It comes in the most beautiful colors – and I have yet to find a project that I couldn’t use it on. At ¾”, it works perfectly for the size of the lip balm – substantial enough to create a pop of texture, but thin enough not to hide the lip balm and lose the shape of the butterfly. And with so many pretty spring colors to choose from, I am sure you will find one to coordinate with your project!
These are incredibly easy to make with a bit of patterned paper, a punch a pair of scissors and a bit of adhesive. No fancy punches or die cuts needed! Check out this video to see how:
