These sweet ruffles remind me of lace dresses of my youth. While baby head couture only seems to be getting bigger why not add a lacey flower to the wardrobe. These ruffles are not exclusively for little ones they could also be fabulous as a broach, on a hat or on a headband.
- Baste Silk Ribbon to Lace Ribbon with a long stitch, I used a 5.0 length.
- Pull 1 thread to gather. Fold Lace in half with silk ribbon inside.
- Hot glue ruffled to felt circle starting along outside edge moving into center. Proceed in one inch increments, laying down glue and pressing the folded edge into the hot glue.

Zoe – I used about a yard and a half of each, the lace and ribbon. My felt circles were 2 1/2 inches. This project can easily be made larger or smaller by adjusting the length of the ribbons and size of the circle. Have fun and we would love to see how yours turn out!
The flowers are so pretty. What is the length of the ribbon and lace before it is gathered? What is the diameter of the felt circle. Thank you.
