Make Your Own Napkin Rings

Welcome to May Arts today! Do you know what D-rings + May Arts ribbon equals? Trendy napkin rings!

A sweet friend showed me a picture of some napkin rings she loved, and I immediately thought to myself “I can make those!” 🙂  (I don’t know where she found the picture, so I can’t show you the original!)

You’ll need some ribbon & 2 d-rings per napkin ring. I used the 2” solid/striped ribbon because it matched the picture she showed me so well, but you could pick your favorite! It took a little over 13” per napkin ring, and I used my I-magicut for a clean edge!

I rolled the end once & then pinned 2 d-rings in place.

A zip through the sewing machine (I used my zipper foot!).

And you’re done!

I made some in various colors!

I made a lovely set in all green for a gift.

And you really must wrap such a gift in style, right?

Some 1.5” grosgrain/ivory stripe embellished with a frayed flower & burlap string were used to tie on a sweet tag & the perfect way to dress up the gift bag!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you’ve been inspired!

What a great idea except I don't sew.  But love them.
Guess you could hand sew them.  Me and sewing machines
    do not get along.

These are a perfect gift, and with so many ribbon options there is sure to be a choice to match any decor. Great, and easy to follow, tutorial Jen!
