DIY Mixed Media Canvas – Using Ribbon Flowers
Hello! Rhea here, today I would like to share a mixed media canvas. I’ve wanted to design something using all the flower tutorials I’ve shared with you over this past year. My thoughts have gone around in circles trying to come up with something. The other night I literally dreamed about this piece. I got up at 4:00 a.m. grabbed a cup of coffee and jumped right in.
Mixed Media is so popular. Creating canvases is one of the most popular ways to create this art. It dawned on me that our ribbon gives us both texture and depth. It’s also easily dyed, sprayed or as shown here, air brushed with Copic Markers. It wouldn’t be possible to get this kind of 3 dimensional effects with paper or chipboard.
Next time you want to create mixed media grab your ribbon and get inky with!!
