Quick and Easy DIY: Halloween Pumpkin Decorations
Temperatures are still in the upper 90’s here in the sub-tropics but the calendar still marches on. Fall decorating time will be here before we know it and I always manage to get caught rushing for something new to display.
This year, I got a jump on Halloween and it took all of 15 minutes to create these elegant pumpkins to grace my hall table.
My pumpkins were budget friendly as well. I used coupons to purchase the Styrofoam pumpkins and the gorgeous May Arts Ribbons came from my scrap basket.
I wrapped each pumpkin in May Arts 5” Black Tulle. I used three pieces for the larger pumpkins and two for the smallest one. I just pulled up the tulle and secured it around the pumpkins stems with a twist tie.
I wanted to give my pumpkins a bit of shimmer so I spritzed them with Imagine Crafts Shimmer Spritz in Sparkle right onto the tulle.
The largest pumpkins got a bright beautiful bow and some cute satin bats. The pumpkin didn’t have a stem so I poked a hole through the top and added some twigs.
The orange pumpkin got a gorgeous 3” Bias Cut Satin bow and a touch of whimsy from May Arts AKB Solid Checked ribbon.
Finally, the smallest pumpkin was tied with May Arts Striped Grosgrain, Leaves Ribbon, and 3/8” Satin Reversible Stitched Edge ribbon.
I think this one is my favorite. 🙂
