Easy DIY for Kids: Rainbows and Sunshine Card
I absolutely love being able to repurpose my ribbon for different uses other than bows. Today I have a Rainbows and Sunshine card featuring May Arts Sheer Frayed Wired Flowers as clouds and Silk Ribbon for the rainbow.
To create the card, I cut around 5” each of the beautiful ¼” silk ribbon in pastel rainbow colors. I chose Pink, Yellow, Celery, Robin’s Egg Blue and Lavendar. I adhered each strip to a light gray card base with Scor-Tape. I left an overhang off the right edge of the card and trimmed it with a paper cutter for a clean cut.
I then added two “clouds” using two of the Sheer Frayed Wire Flowers that I trimmed from the sheer ribbon background. I used one full rose and trimmed the other in half with scissor for a smaller cloud. I adhered each of these to the card using liquid glue. I then tucked in a die cut paper sun peeking behind the clouds.
I finished the card with a stamped sentiment and rounded the corners. The end result is a soft, textured card to give to someone needing a bit of a pick-me-up. This card is a perfect way to showcase using ribbon scraps too!
