Hi, Tiffin Mills here from Linwood Avenue. Sometimes the perfect way to use ribbon is not by wrapping a gift, but by giving it as a gift itself. I have so many fabric/craft lovers in my life, but they often hesitate to buy lovely craft items due to their household budgets. This gift of fabric and beautiful May Arts baker’s twine is very unexpected and will brighten their day and perhaps inspire them to create something new. The addition of Lawn Fawn products compliments the fabric choices and makes the gift even more special.
supplies
• May Arts Ribbon
• Lawn Fawn products
– Sew Lovely stamp set
– Petite Paper Pack – 6″ x 6″ squares
• 4 fat quarters of quilting fabric
• Decorative scissors
• Hole punch
• White card stock 6″ x 6″
• Copic markers
– various colors and blending marker
• Iron
INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1 –Using your iron, press your fat quarters into 7.5″ squares and stack together.
Step 2 – Using the 6” template below, cut the outside flower and middle circle out of coordinating Lawn Fawn sheets. Cut the remaining center circle out of your white card stock.
Step 3 – Punch the center of 4 petals with your hole punch. Skip 1 petal, then punch the next 4.
Step 4 – Using two copic marker colors per stamp, color the back of the stamp. Before stamping, “color” an area of the white paper with your copic blending marker – this will reactivate the ink and allow the stamp to print.
Step 5 – Tape all 3 paper layers together to hold in place.
Step 6 – Wrap 2 yard lengths of twine and string ends through punched holes.
Step 7 – With remaining 1 yard of red baker’s twine, wrap your fabric like you are wrapping a present. Punch the two remaining petals of your paper, pull ends of twine through these holes
and time in a bow on top of paper flower.
Step 8 – Deliver to your favorite fabric loving birthday girl for a one of a kind gift!
