Tutorial For A Silk Flower

Hello!  Mary here, and today I have a simple tutorial to create lovely flowers out of a little bit of silk ribbon!

Silk Flower Tutorial

By looping ribbon around a piece of cardstock (or your fingers!), you can easily create a flower to adorn your favorite crafting project or yourself.  My sweet daughter has already confiscated two of my new embellishments to wear in her hair.

After you’ve looped yourself up a flower (or two!), just add your favorite center with a couple stitches.  I LOVE using my vintage findings, but just about anything that you can stitch or glue on would work!

Mix up the look with a crinkled ribbon, or make a giant flower to spice up your favorite wall hanging.  The sky is the limit!

Here is a quick video so you can see just how easy these are to make:

Now, go grab your favorite May Arts ribbon and make yourself a few loopy flowers to wear or share!

Your little ribbon roses are so sweet. I have been trying to think of something to make to go with the little dresses I bought for our nieces for Easter and these would be so sweet to put on a hair band. Thank you for the inspiration! 🙂

THANK YOU for sharing your video tutorial, you make it look so FUN & EASY => I definitely NEED some of the faux suede leaves to make some just like yours 🙂
