This entire project started with a photo of a very dear friend of mine. We were attending a scrapbook event together when she shared a pile of photos of herself from her childhood. In the MANY years that I had known her, I had never seen photos of her as a child. This photo in particular stood out to me, as I too spent years in figure skating as a child.
I asked her if I could scrapbook this one photo for her. She said yes, and this is the finished product.
I wanted the layout to sparkle and shine to play up the winter theme. Since the photo was black and white, I wanted to keep the color theme simple, with black, white and silver…but did add a little bit of purple, her favorite color.
Aside from the photo itself, I wanted the embellished focal point to be the elaborate snowflake border.
Thank you so much for stopping by to see my sparkly Snowflake Layout.

This is a beautiful layout. I love the framing and matting you did. Your snowflakes are awesome and look terrific on top of the ribbon. The glitter paper you used and the glittered snowflakes were a great idea and looks wonderful. Expertly and beautifully done, so I pinned it.
