Up-cycled Halloween Candles

Welcome back to the May Arts Blog!  It’s time to help the kids plan their Halloween costumes and get the house ready for the little ghosts and goblins that come looking for candy.

While scouring the clearance aisles at my local hobby store, I found some plain jar candles for $1 each.  A super find as candles can be really expensive.  I also make a habit of saving any candle jars as they’re usually made of good quality glass that doesn’t break easily.

May Arts Ribbons can take those plain candles from clearance aisle to elegant Halloween decorations in no time.

Here’s your supply list:

Just run a line of strong double sided tape vertically down one side of the candle jar. Wrap and press the May Arts Webbed Weave ribbon firmly onto the tape.  Wrap check and metallic velvet ribbon around the jar and adhere with glue dots.  Attach the ghosts and bats with glue dots.

See that scary looking sss-snake guarding the candy?  He’s made from May Arts Ribbon, of course!  In case you missed the tutorial, you can find it here on the May Arts Blog.

Thanks for joining us on the May Arts Blog.  Be sure to check back each day for more fun, crafty ideas using May Arts Ribbon!
