I absolutely adore using May Arts Tulle Ribbon on cards. It offers such an amazing texture, is so very versatile but most of all it is lightweight-perfect for mailing- and forms the most easy of embellishments!

I’ve created four cards using tulle to create embellishments. After embossing and die cutting a colored cardstock panel, along with stamping a quick sentiment, I dressed up the card with a navy tulle bow. I used about 10” to wrap around the card base and tie the bow.

 
This next card was created using the actual die cut image of the bird, a stamped sentiment and another tulle ribbon bow. I also used around 10” of navy tulle for this bow, and dressed it up even more with a bow made from 5” of the lovely white sheer ribbon offered at May Arts.

For this next card, I die cut a pennant out of embossed cardstock and then die cut another bird. I stamped a sentiment directly onto the card base. Before adhering the pennant to the card base, I tied a big bow made from 1.5” White Tulle Ribbon. This took about 8” of the ribbon and the end result is fluffy and beautiful, but could lie flat when mailing.

 
My last card features tulle in a slightly different, and completely fun way! I used the die cut bird from the previous card, adhered it to another card base and stamped a sentiment. I left enough room to adhere tulle onto the back of a strip of embossed cardstock, pleating it along the way. This little fun embellishment took only 4” of the 1.5” white tulle ribbon!

If you’ve never considered the 1.5” Tulle Ribbon from May Arts (the 471-15 line) for your card or scrapbooking needs, I urge you to revisit the ribbon! If you want a more bold look, May Arts also offers tulle in a 5” width. Plus, May Arts offers tulle in many, many beautiful colors!
