Hi everyone! It’s Karen from ScrappyCanuck Studios, and today I am doing a bit of a throwback-inspired project. Last Valentine’s Day, I decided to tackle a few projects that played with some non-traditional Valentine’s Day colors. I loved the projects so much, that I decided to pull out the same ribbons for a little project for this year. Not only are the ribbons as sweet as can be, but there’s a little hidden treat inside too!
Hidden beneath this pretty sleeve topped with all sorts of textural ribbon goodness, you will find a different kind of goody – chocolate. Sure – giving chocolate is great. But giving chocolate wrapped in ribbon and interactive fun is simply fabulous!
The ribbon that inspired the color scheme is a great one from the 1.5” Grosgrain Stripes collection (TG34). And while there are all sorts of ribbons you can use to pull out some of the fun colors in the stripe, I decided to go with different textures – including the 3/8” Velvet Ric Rac and the ¾” Satin Cutout.

Here’s how you can create one of your own:
I hope you’ll be inspired to add a bit of ribbon goodness to a sweet for your sweet!
