DIY Cards – Get Creative with Ribbon

Welcome to the May Arts & Lawn Fawn fun! I’ve got a couple of cute cards to share with you today!

First up: Happy Wishes!

This card features the Lawn Fawn set Lunar Lights as well as the Bright Side petite paper pack! I used the patterned paper as my focal panel, stamping directly onto it, and then paper- or ribbon!- pieced the lanterns & cord!

The green lantern (giggle) is pieced using lime green 1.5” solid/wired ribbon. The white lantern is pieced using the 1.5” double faced satin.  They look so amazing in person!!! I ‘hung’ the lanterns from 1/8” velvet.

Next up: Have Fun!

Can’t you feel the sun shining? 🙂

This time I used the Swimsuit Season set! I paper pieced the bikini with more of the fun Bright Side paper, and added Baker’s twine to make it a ‘string bikini’!

The ball is paper pieced with Bright Side petite paper, as well as turquoise 1.5” solid/wired ribbon. A little ‘splash’ is colored with prisma pencils & topped with glossy accents.

Thank you to Lawn Fawn for such fun sets & papers to play with! I had a ball! And thank you for your time! I hope you’ve been inspired!

What cute stamp sets.  I've seen the Lunar Lights before and loved it then.  How cute and creative to use the twine on the bikini!  TFS
