Whoa where did summer go? Just like that the air is getting cooler and school is back in. Time to put away the beach towels and haul out the fall décor. First change, the wreath on my door, this year I’ve decided to go with something personalized, an Embroidery Hoop Wreath.
You can hardly tell it is an embroidery hoop with the May Arts Ribbons disguising the edge!
I started by sewing a monogram onto a piece of fall inspired fabric, backed with a piece of felt for additional stability. Then place the fabric piece into the hoop, and tighten the screw. Trim the overhang fabric and hot glue to the inside edge along the backside.
Starting at the bottom of the hoop, hot glue 1 ½” Crochet and Velvet May Arts ribbon around the perimeter and ½” burlap along the front edge.
This attractive fall door decoration can be made in only minutes, a perfect craft project for a beginner!
Try different May Arts ribbons to suit your décor or season. I can’ t wait to try one with the large pom poms.
Thanks for stopping by for this quick May Arts project, please visit me on Fynes Designs for more Fall Décor ideas.

FABULOUS wreath Virginia – LOVE the ribbon combo you have used, they make such a neat finish and DELIGHTFUL contrast in texture too!!!
… I confess that I bought a couple of embroidery hoops on sale many years ago, didn’t really have any projects in mind at the time, NOW I feel INSPIRED and I’m hoping that I can remember the “safe place” I stashed them!!!
THANK YOU for sharing your CREATIVE INSPIRATION!!!
Lovely idea! TFS!
What a cute idea. I’m with you on the where did summer go too. Kids are back at school and suddenly it’s cooler at night. This is a fun project for these cooler days.
