Hi folks, Virginia here to share a handmade Christmas gift idea for some cute boho jewelry that is really affordable to make, plus my trick for getting the color you really want!
I used May Arts suede string to create a few different pieces. The suede string comes in a variety of colors. However, I only had the slate gray on hand. To make the pieces unique I just added some trendy colors to give it a little pop!
I simply used some multi-surface Acrylic paint. I squirted a bit of paint into a rag, pinched the suede sting and pulled it through the paint. This method was a bit messy, so you might want to lay it out flat and actually paint it.
The suede accepted the paint very well and lasted months. Eventually it will begin to wear off on the edges, but I found it just added to the boho look. Give this method a try, please stop by the May Arts Facebook page and tell us how it goes!
