Tutorial: Make a Lace Bow

When May Arts introduced their new 3″ wide floral lace, I was thrilled! The lace is so elegant, but I wanted a way to really show off the designs. So enter another one of my favorites….anything turquoise! This time the gorgeous 2” reversible satin. Pairing these ribbons together is a perfect match and I’m going to show you how to create a stunning ribbon. I attached mine to a hair band, but you could use the same idea for any project.

Make a Lace Bow

Tack a length of lace down the center of the satin, using your sewing machine or by hand.

With the right sides together, sew a seam. Trim the excess ribbon.

Turn right side out. Use a narrower piece of ribbon to tie around the center, to form the bow. You can now use the tails of this ribbon to tie on to your project if you wish.
