soc_ma

Welcome to day 2 of the May Arts Ribbon / Splash of Color Blog Hop!  As I mentioned in last month's feature -which if you haven't checked out yet, you really should for some seriously colorful ribbon painting- we are teaming up with Splash of Color every month to show you just how well their paints and our ribbon go together.  We're like peanut butter & jelly, mac & cheese, spaghetti & meatballs…ok you get the point!  ;)    And it's time to get inky again!  Today is our turn, so get ready for a heathly dose of inspiration!  There is a nice prize in for y'all too:

Since we are getting into the fall season, I whipped up this little card to help bring the season in a bit more quickly.  I was inspired the changing colors that usually represent fall and decided to channel that inspiration into ombre ruffles.  I love how the SAME red spray on the ruffle and the flower with 2
different effects!  This was so cool!  Click here to see more!

I've combined Splash of Color and May Arts on an inspirational mixed media tag today. The background was built up with layers of ink, water, tape, masks, gesso and more! The Persimmon Radiant Rain really gives the tag a superb pop of color and I used the Woven Rosette paired with a Box Pleat and some thread on the bottom in a cluster of embellishments. You can see more details here!

It's always nice to coordinate basic ribbons or flowers to match other seasonal ribbons, and using the Radiant Rain in Sunburst, I was able to do just that.  I used the spray to alter 2 different flowers and stacked them to create one hybrid flower.  This was such an easy way to embellish a candle for fall.

For this assignment we are using the May Arts flowers, I used 439-01 and Radiant Rains from Splash of Color, I received Teal Zircon and it is beautiful.  As you can tell I used it on not only the flowers but also some eyelet, paper and on a doily. Click here to see more!

May Arts Ribbon also offers these gorgeous flowers that are completely customizable, and Splash of Color's mist is the perfect way to do so! I created some cute flower pops using both products.   Click here to see more!

Splash of Color's Luminarte Radiant Rain Shimmering Mist is the perfect product if you are looking to color your awesome May Arts Ribbon.  Just look at how the "Solar Gold" color shines on May Arts Ribbon's black flowers trim.  Click here to see more!

I just got a new baby niece and I love trying out products, so a card was in order! This shimmering mist is just that, a blast of sparkly bold color without the mess of glitter! I misted the flower and leaves; while they were drying I squirted color into the bottle cap and used it like watercolor paint to create the background on resist paper. I love the shimmering accent that sadly the camera can’t quite catch!

Now I bet you're wondering what you have to do to enter to win that prize I mentioned earlier!  Well, it's simple.  Just post a comment below!  I'll announce a winner right here on Monday, September 23rd!

Happy hopping, y'all!
