Weekend Giveaway – Halloween Candy! {and a winner}

Time to get back to basics here on the May Arts Ribbon Blog!   I used to do regular weekend giveaways not so long ago, and then somewhere along the lines they just started to feel…well, too regular.  But, I’ve changed my mind, as a Ribbon Lady is inclined to do.  So, I’m bringing back this missed tradition.   And since I’ve had Halloween on mind, I figured it was a great place to start.

As much as I love decorate, Halloween is not my lil’ dudes favorite holiday.  Never has been.  So, we keep the spiders in the garage and break out the candy!  😀  We all have our sweet treat preferences.  Mine are Reese’s and Snickers.  Yum!  Lil guy is partial to 3 Musketeer’s and Milky Way!  What are your favorites?

    all those years ago when my kids went trick or treating, they would always give me the almond joy bars…..love those things. the other were the butterfinger mini bars. i can stick the entire thing in my mouth, suck off the chocolate and then TRY to dissolve the peanutbuttery goodness in my mouth, but i cave and chew up the entire thing. when i had to buy the treats for the treaters….i tried to buy something i wasn’t so crazy about so i wouldn’t eat it. but i would always get a stash of the almond joys and butterfingers. sigh. those were the days, my friend.

    My son is grown now so no decorating for Halloween or Trick or Treating, but it’s still one of my favorite holidays. I love coming up with all kinds of Halloween projects out in my studio.

    I have a lot of favorites but for Halloween it would have to be Bit O’ Honeys and the Peanut Butter Blossoms (peanut butter taffy in the orange and black wrappers)!

    My favorite is Reeses Peanut Butter Cups. I take my commission out of my children’s loot bags. They hand them over willingly. “I” carry two extra sacks on Halloween night. My two kids keep going house to house and when they say their bucket is to heavy, I dump their bucket into the labeled bag I have for them. So essentially I’m carrying around the extra candy. – Judy

    I love the small little chocolate bars. They are just the right size for a snack and I don’t feel so bad after having a couple since I can not finish a whole chocolate bar in one sitting.

    ooh favorite halloween candy, would have to be the little chocolate bars, but the hershey ones are by far the best
