DIY Ruffled Ribbon Banner

This past weekend was a pretty special thing for our family. We got to watch our daughter take part in a major part in our church. I’m not here to talk about that though. Today is all about the party and how I pulled it together flawlessly using May Arts ribbon. The main part of my party décor was the banner I created. We chose a simple color scheme of white, gold, cream, kraft and brown. For the banner I created what I call a “banner base”. This is the piece that I attach the created banner pieces to. Sometimes I sew them and sometimes I just use a stapler to attach them together. This time the banner base is sewn and the banner pieces are stapled to it.

You can also see in the photos that the ribbon was used on the balloons and tied to the small white buckets to tie it all together. It totally wowed our family and my daughter adored every piece. Here’s a video for you showing you how I created the simple and fun ruffled banner base.
