Spring/Summer 2015 New Release Blog Hop and a giveaway – Winners!
Welcome to our Spring/Summer 2015 New Release Blog Hop!
New ribbons. My favorite time of year is when we get new ribbons in stock! New textures, new colors & best of all – new inspiration! We are so excited about our new releases, that today and tomorrow we are featuring a variety of projects using each of these new beauties…and inspiring you to create with our newest ribbons.
Each Ribbonista has been assigned one new series to play with. And their challenge was to create different ways to use the same ribbon. And these fabulous ladies were certainly up for a fun challenge, as you will see.
Of course we need a prize, don’t we?
Here’s the giveaway:
3 prizes of 1 spool each from our new releases. That’s 3 chances to win!

To kick off this week, we have also prepared for you a video reviewing all of the newest releases. So sit back, relax and enjoy our video introduction to the May Arts Ribbon Spring/Summer 2014 New Releases:
And now…on to the hop! Today we have:
Everyone loves a new baby and a friend has just had a new baby girl. May Arts new adhesive hearts ribbon is the perfect accent for everything from clothing and paper to metal. Be sure to check out my blog to see the surprise on the back of this sweet little onsie!
I made a couple of fun Easter tags with the burlap. I Love how the colored edge coordinates with some of my favorite papers.
I am showcasing the new 2.5″ open weave burlap net– and it is so fun! I love how this ribbon adds so much texture to any project.
One-inch Solid with Color Band & Stitched Edge (523-1) can go beyond the basics. This ribbon with it’s great body, can hold a shape, be woven into a fabric or even sewn into a fun studded accessory. With 20 color options you be set for any occasion or project.
My first project feature the ribbon with the trendy, vintage nautical print. This print is perfect for simple, masculine decor! I took a cleaned, tin can and covered the top portion with the nautical print and added a strip of denim ribbon on the bottom. I combined the two together with a knotted row of thick, burlap twine.
The following two projects feature how easy this wide, patterned ribbon is to use on greeting cards. I took advantage of the amazing prints and substituted ribbon for patterned paper by simply adhering the ribbon to a card base with double sided adhesive, stamping a sentiment and finishing the card with burlap string bow and knot.
Don’t forget to post your comments to enter to win 1 of 3 prizes up for grabs!
Good luck, y’all!
