Hello ribbony friends! DeeDee here today with a technique/tips n tricks video on stenciling your ribbon. Grab your favorite stencils/masks, some paint, a nice thick delicious May Arts ribbon, and watch:
I ended up using the Berry colored 1.5 inch Twill (with the Dreamweaver Tapestry stencil) on the following card:
After I had the ribbon stenciled, I used some white cardstock to make a card base. I splattered a little bit of Merlot Memories Mist (which incidentally matches the ribbon PERFECLTY!) on the background. I layered the card with ribbon, a few staples, some diecut leaves and glittery black alphas.
One thing I adore about stenciling ribbon, is how uniquely different it can be, super customizable to whatever you’re working on. The second thing I adore is how much of a PUNCH it packs on this card. I literally added a SMIDGE of layering on top, and it’s still a great card I have confidence in mailing. I could easily crank out 100 of these in an hour or two if I stenciled a roll of ribbon and let it dry beforehand. Do you have a favorite stencil pattern you might use on your ribbon? Or color combo?
Thanks for joining me today!
